Our April 22 Earth Day gathering at Elation Brewing was a wonderful evening of community, conversation, and shared enthusiasm for protecting the places that make Coastal Virginia so special. Guests enjoyed great food, local craft brews, and the chance to connect with CVC board and staff while learning more about the exciting conservation work ahead.
We’re especially grateful to Elation Brewing for hosting us so generously and helping create such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Celebrating Earth Day together was a joyful reminder that when people come together around a shared purpose, great things happen.
Elizabeth River Crossings Steps Up for Conservation
Coastal Virginia Conservancy is grateful to Elizabeth River Crossings (ERC) for its generous donation of $2,454, raised through an innovative employee wellness and environmental education program. The donation was determined by the distance ERC employees walked on the company’s fitness track, which features educational eco-signage highlighting topics such as sustainable foods, oyster gardening, plastic reduction and other environmental stewardship initiatives.
Encouraging employees to stay active while learning practical ways to care for the environment promoted healthier lifestyles, increased awareness of sustainability practices, and provided meaningful support for Coastal Virginia Conservancy’s mission of conserving land and water for LIFE.

Set against a stunning waterfront backdrop, the evening was filled with great conversation, warm hospitality, and a shared passion for protecting the places we all love. We are incredibly thankful to our hosts and everyone who helped make the event so memorable.
